Student Jazz Orchestra Brussels

Created in September 2015, the Student Jazz Orchestra Brussels is working to bond musicians inside the university. The project was supported by the authorities and given a financial help (Bourse Stéphane Hessel).

The SJOB played on the campus as well as outside for other events: in April 2016, it was invited by the Groningen Student Big Band in the Netherlands for a “Battle of the Bands” competition. In March 2017, the Big Band played in the Sounds Jazz Club.

From its beginnings, the orchestra is helped and supported by the young Dutch conductor Rob Spelberg

The Hop Sh Bam connection

Excellent SWING band from Belgium, brilliantly guided by Marie Anne Standaert (trumpet+vocals). Being a dancer herself, she perfectly knows how to combine all the musical ingredients to provide dancers with top swing music. All Hop-sh-Bam musicians swing with their whole body, heart and soul! Be prepared: Heavy swing and Hot jazz that will make your feet move like never before!

Birdie Bounce

Birdie Bounce has its roots in the bouncing heart of Ghent, Belgium. Amongst their experiences there's swing parties in Ghent, Brussels, Antwerp and Rotterdam; the lindy hop society has no secrets for this band. If you want to dance, or feel like you want to time travel back to the twenties, then Birdie Bounce is what your doctor would suggest. Cosy hot club grooves, spices with a breeze of New Orleans… I bet you're already licking your chops!

They are already grandma's favourite swing band. Soon yours as well?

The Twilight Time Conspiracy

Once upon a time a combo was created by musicians with a passion for jazz and entertainment. We called it the Easy Swing Combo. As time went by some members disappeared and others joined us, but three of them, clarinet/sax – bass and drums, remain steady and got their experiences also in big bands and other musical groups. By discovering an amazing jazzy voice and a passionate guitarplayer, ‘The Twilight Time Conspiracy’ was born. We bring you smooth, jazzy and exciting swinging music, specifically for Lindy Hop parties, but also for all sort of events where we let you enjoy the magic jazzy tunes of the years 30' - 40' and 50'. On demand we can also mix it with soft latin, ballads and easylistening music, adapted to any kind of formal or informal occasion.

The Brussels Blues Gansters

Composed of all stars musicians, already well-known all over Brussels, The Brussels Blues Gansters has been issued from a jam in the well-known underground place called "Chez Alex". The name poped up after a couple of beers, dance, music sets and ..... well, we found it!

They will make you dance until you drop!
