Frederic Blondeel chocolate factory visit

Belgian chocolate is renowned the world over for its craftmanship and passion. We’ll take you to see both by visiting the factory of Frederic Blondeel, one of Belgium’s most famous chocolatiers. We’ll see how chocolate is made, from bean to bar, and of course, get a mouthful in the process (but we can’t guarantee oompa loompas..).

Where we meet

The chocolate factory is located not far from our main venue at the following address:
Rue Jules Debecker 67 – 1081 Koekelberg.

Cantillon Brewery visit

Cantillon? It’s a time machine. You’ll leave the modern civilization, goodbye to the noise, goodbye to the world. Visit a family brewery where Lambic, Gueuze, Faro and Kriek are made and where nothing has changed since 1900 when it was founded.

Red copper containers, barrels, some of them more than 100 years old, and walls of bottles constitute the scenery for your visit. Maybe you’ll be lucky to see the brewing or the bottling, maybe you ’ll see how barrels are cleaned or how fruit beers are made in summer. In any case, you’ll be able to taste a traditional Gueuze-Lambic, only brewed in Brussels, and listen to a colourful brewer telling you how it’s made.

Where we meet

The Van Roy-Cantillon family welcomes you and invites you to discover a fabulous world at the following address:
Rue Gheude 56 – 1070 Anderlecht.

En Stoemelings Brewery visit

At the other end of the spectrum from Cantillon, En Stoemelings is one of the youngest Belgian breweries. Started en stoemelings, i.e. on the sly, in 2014 by two friends in their twenties, it took Brussels by a storm!

Where we meet

The En Stoemelings Brewery is located right next to our main venue at the following address:
Rue Dieudonné Lefèvre 37 – 1020 Brussels.

Millennium Iconoclast Museum of Art (MIMA) visit

The MIMA – the Millennium Iconoclast Museum of Art – is a recent addition to Brussels’ cultural scene. Open in April 2016 along the canal, the MIMA’s mission is to be the defining museum of contemporary art and to present the most significant art of its time. It explores a history of culture 2.0, a culture that breaks down barriers and reaches out to a broad audience, reflecting the world of today and paving the way for the world of tomorrow.

It is a museum of visual arts for the general public, determined to make a contribution to this empathetic, iconoclastic, collaborative, participatory and transversal cultural impetus that lurks inside each and every one of us and is only asking to come out. (we love it!)

In addition to the amazing permanent collection, you’ll be able to see the temporary exhibition ‘Get Up Stand Up’ on May 68 anti-establishment posters.

Where we meet

You can’t miss it, the colourful MIMA stands out on the canal, at the following address:
Quai du Hainaut 41 – 1080 Molenbeek-Saint-Jean.
