For a few years now, we've been running two competitions: the traditional 'Battle' for couples on Saturday night and a solo competition on Sunday afternoon. But this year, we're thrilled to announce that we're adding a new competition to the mix – the 'First Timer Mix & Match'!
So, whether you're a seasoned competitor or a first-timer, we've got a competition for you! Don't be afraid to take up the challenge and show off your dance moves. We can't wait to see what you've got!
Inspired by the historical Harvest Moonball Championship, 4 to 5 partnered couples will be chosen to dance at the same time during 3 and half minutes at a tempo over 230 BPM. Prelims will occur in separate heats, you have one chance within 3 minutes to give your best but only 1 winner per heat will go through to the final. Bring your craziest, your funniest, your most entertaining moves to the floor to entertain everybody on the Saturday night. Prelims will take place during the Saturday night party at 21:30. Be there at 21:15 to make sure you do not miss it.

The solo battle is open for everyone to try and will take place in two parts during the Saturday Halles That Swing in Les Halles. First, an open jam will be used as a qualifier where judges will pick their favourite 5 finalists to compete in a “King of the Hill” battle format. For the battle, there will be no defined amount of time and various types of Jazz music could be played by the DJ.
Prelims will take place during the Saturday Halles That Swing at 14:45.
The competition will take place during the Saturday Halles That Swing at 15:15.
The winner will get a free ticket to one of our partner events.
The first time Mix & Match is reserved to those who never participated in a competition before. This is your chance to give it a try, no hard feelings. Come join as a single leader/follower as you will be randomly assigned to a partner. Everybody will dance at the same time and 12 lucky participants (6 leads, 6 followers) will be chosen for the finals.
Prelims will take place during the Sunday Tea dance party at 16:00.
The competition will take place during the Sunday Tea dance party, at 17:15.
